About Kavita
All of my life I have been studying yoga, meditation, and the effects of the mind-body connection. My mother was the first one to introduce me to these concepts. During the summers, I attended yoga & meditation camps along with my brother. I grew up practicing these modalities along with Ayurvedic medicine, and overall appreciated the many riches my Indian culture had to offer. Little did I know then, some deep-rooted seeds had been planted.
For 8 years I worked as a Management/IT Consultant mostly in the pharmaceutical industry (kind of ironic). I enjoyed the job up until I realized I didn’t know what I wanted to do next. Then panic sunk in and I looked at the job titles above mine, and they didn’t look very enticing. When I realized I had no upward mobility at the company, not because they wouldn’t give it to me, but because I didn’t want it bad enough. I was whirled into action. I then began to notice how my unhappiness with not knowing what to do next was being manifested. Basically I was eating a lot, stressed, shopping incessantly, and partying. In not so many words I was unhealthy, fat, and feeling tired, and curing all of this through avoiding it.
I am now a Weight-Loss Coach, and when I started my journey in trying to lose weight and feel better in my body it kind of happened on its own through changes I made in my diet and lifestyle. Hence, my purpose and passion in helping other women achieve the same thing. I am committed to them finding their path to losing weight and keeping it off by taking small steps that add up to big steps where they find themselves feeling vibrant, fitting into the clothes they want to wear, getting compliments left and right, and living with a ton more energy. Essentially my goal is to help them lose weight effortlessly, or should I say by accident.
